Hiram Fuller letter to Rufus Griswold [manuscript], 1839 November 29.

Explains his decision to leave the Green Street School in Providence. Although he has been encouraged to start a local newspaper, he proposes to attach himself to the "New World" as an out of town correspondent reporting on news of Providence and Rhode Island.

Rufus Wilmot Griswold (February 13, 1815 – August 27, 1857) was an American anthologist, editor, poet, and critic. Born in Vermont, Griswold left home when he was 15 years old.
